Mushroom hair is a shade that’s found somewhere between ash blonde and brown and is ideal for brunettes. Clearly reminiscent of fall, this new hair color trend is designed for brunettes who want to add a touch of light and variety to their hair. In fact, the best base color to work this look on is chestnut brown. The rest of the style is created using highlights, a touch of light added from around the middle to the ends in an ash shade. These are then toned to get uniform results and boost brilliance.
From here on in, Mushroom Hair can be adapted to many variations. If your customer wants to blend in more golden tones, we can add some golden blonde highlights to the ash. In this same vein, if the customer wants a lighter color, then a lighter brown base should be created first then the ash highlights blended together with a more intense shade of blonde.
